สมาคมเรือไทย ขอเรียนชี้แจงจากกรณีที่ปรากฏว่ามีเรือภัตตาคารทิ้งขยะมูลฝอยลงในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาตามสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ ดังนี้
- ผู้ประกอบการเรือภัตตาคารที่ปรากฏในคลิปนั้น มิได้เป็นสมาชิกในสมาคมเรือไทยแต่อย่างใด
- สมาคมฯ มีความตระหนักถึงมาตรการดูแลรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมไปถึงแนวการกำจัดขยะที่ถูกต้อง โดยทางสมาคมได้ประชาสัมพันธ์ให้สมาชิกต้องปฏิบัติตามระเบียบข้อกฏหมาย/แนวทางการจัดการขยะ เพื่อป้องกันมิให้เกิดมลพิษทางน้ำและส่งผลกระทบด้านอื่นๆ
- สมาคมฯ และสมาชิก ขอยืนยันและขอร่วมรณรงค์การกำจัดขยะอย่างถูกวิธี การดูแลแม่น้ำลำคลอง
รวมไปถึงการปฏิบัติตามข้อกฏหมายต่างๆ เพื่อรักษาไว้ให้ซึ่งสภาพแวดล้อมที่ดีของสังคม

Statement by the Thai Boat Association
The Thai Boat Association wishes to clarify the issue regarding a viral social media clip allegedly showing a restaurant boat disposing of waste into the Chao Phraya River, as follows:
- The restaurant boat operator shown in the clip is not a member of the Thai Boat Association.
- The Association is fully committed to environmental conservation and proper waste management. We regularly communicate with our members to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations on waste disposal to prevent water pollution and other negative environmental impacts.
- The Association and its members reaffirm our commitment to promoting proper waste disposal practices, protecting waterways, and adhering to all applicable laws to maintain a clean and sustainable environment for society.
